Kinky Thoughts question meme
Hi everyone! This is a 30-question meme I wrote to get people thinking about their id/kinks. It has various questions about what kinds of kinks people enjoy in fiction, focusing on fandom in particular, because that's where my interests lie.

3weeks4dreamwidth in case people could use some writing prompts for the event. Dreamwidth is a very kink-positive space, and that's one thing I really like about it, so I hope this is of interest to people wanting to use this site more. You can fill out a portion of these questions as part of the Three Weeks for Dreamwdith event, or reserve it for the start of a month and answer a question a day, or you could use it as a kind of Tumblr-style ask meme where you post the meme to your journal and people leave in the comments which questions they'd like you to answer.
I think it's good for people to understand what excites them and why, so I thought I would make this. I hope people enjoy it! However, kink can be pretty contentious/controversial, so I thought I would lay down some basic ground rules just so you get a sense of the spirit this meme was made in:
Ground rules
1. This is meant to be a kink-friendly / YKINKMATO (your kink is not my kink and that's okay) sort of space, so no kink-shaming please! Kinks can be very much not for you without involving any shaming.
2. Keep it safe, sane, and consensual. The belief of the creator of this meme is that one of the great things about fiction is that it is a safe place where people can explore scenarios that would absolutely be dangerous, unrealistic, or immoral if applied to real life. Fiction also allows writers and readers alike to have control over the story and whether they wish to continue reading, making it a safe and consensual activity. Therefore, in line with the first rule, discussion of fictional kinks is allowed, regardless of how immoral or harmful they are in-universe. However, please don't use this meme as a way to advocate for unsafe or nonconsensual sex practices in real-life!
3. Don't share anything you're not comfortable sharing. This meme is ultimately for you. One benefit of Dreamwidth is its powerful privacy controls, including the ability to make posts that only you can see. If it helps you to answer these questions completely privately, go for it! Even if you involve other people (e.g. by doing this as an ask game), it's your choice what you want to share and how widely you want to share it.

Thoughts on specific kinks: The next few questions are for sharing your thoughts on specific categories of kinks. This can be talking about how you feel about these kinks overall (give it a rating?), your favorite variant/flavors of this type of kink, just talking in general about the kink and why it might appeal to people, do you have any fic ideas for a kink of this kind, etc. Note that I've made these groupings kind of weird/unintuitive on purpose, because I thought it would increase the chance people have something to say about it and I also thought the odd groupings might shake some ideas loose.
7. Living dangerously -- Pain and danger kinks of any kind. Fear, physical harm or the threat thereof, sadomaschism, punishment, hunting/chasing, etc.
8. "It won't fit!" -- Size kinks of any kind. Size of body parts, macro/micro, size/height difference, etc.
9. Down and/or dirty -- Waste and degradation kinks of any kind. Urine, vomit, feces, sex in unsanitary conditions, boot-licking, degrading talk, etc.
10. Incapacitated -- Disablement kinks of any kind. Bondage, somnophilia, necrophilia, altered mental states, held down, etc.
11. Body parts and body mods -- Fetishes for body parts, or the modification thereof. Feet, elbows, bellies, ears; tattoos, piercings, amputation, feedism, etc.
12. Generations -- Family and age kinks of any kind. Incest, mommy/daddy kink, age gaps, age regression, ABDL, caretaking, etc.
13. Second-hand emotion -- Emotion kinks of any kind. Love, fear, jealousy, shame, rage, etc.
14. Gender & fuckery -- Gender and sexuality kinks of any kind. Crossdressing, forced feminization/masculinization, homophobia or transphobia, gender affirmation, incompatible sexualities, etc.
15. A surprise tool that can help us later -- Props, toys, and anything external to the body that can be brought into sex. Sex toys, clothing kinks/costumes/fabrics, food, etc.
16. Beyond the human -- Non-human, fantastical, or supernatural elements. Sex involving non-humans, magic or sci-fi mechanics, alternative biologies, superhuman sex, etc.
17. I want it that way -- Kinking on specific sex acts. Oral, anal, facials, intercrural, rimming, kneeling, 69, doggy style, etc.
18. It's a living -- Kinks related to specific professions. Doctors, athletes, customer service, librarians, plumbers, bosses and subordinates, etc.

21. Sensual but not sexual -- Any not-actually-sexual activity you consider to fall under this label (e.g. listening to music, grooming/body care, non-sexual acts of service, etc. - whatever falls into this category for you).
22. Narrative kinks -- Tropes, plots, character types, etc. that always appeal to you.
