Some notes about this journal

Hi everyone!

This is a sock/side account. I made it because I don't want people I know IRL to find out I spend a lot of my free time writing porn fanfiction.

I'm not on any social media other than AO3 and here (Dreamwidth). And in the past, I have been pretty lazy about updating this journal (mainly only keeping it for exchange sign-ups/letters), so I am barely active here. But I'm trying out updating it a bit more consistently, because I like talking to people. (That said, I'm happy to direct you to my more active main account if you're curious. But I don't publicly link my main and my side account.)

I do take prompts/requests. However, just a heads up that my experience has largely consisted of people giving me prompts in ways that are kind of guaranteed that I won't fill them. Some things to keep in mind if you'd like to make a request:

1) It is a request. I can't guarantee I'll fill them. I have a lot of my own personal projects and I am a very slow writer, so keep that in mind.

2) Keep your prompt short. Don't, for example, give me a detailed play-by-play/bulleted outline of the fic you want. This doesn't work for my creativity. I like a short premise and then (optionally) a list of elements or kinks you like. If you want some examples of the level of detail that works, you may want to look at the prompts here. If you have a lot of things/moments you'd like to see, feel free to add those on as bonus, but the core idea of the prompt should be able to be expressed in a couple of sentences or less.

3) Unfortunately, I can't write for fandoms that I'm not familiar with, or am just not particularly fannish about. It's hard for me to give a comprehensive list of my fandoms, but you might want to check out the list of fandoms I've written for here. I can write for most (Non/)Disney animated movies, most Star Treks, the Soul Calibur series, some Final Fantasy games, and Bravely Default. There are a handful of Western animation series, anime, and Japanese video games I can write for as well. ASOIAF is kind of... eh. I am not up to date on the canon, including both TV shows, and I'm not sure how much I can contribute.

In general, I prefer to write for smaller fandoms rather than huge fandoms, because for large fandoms, there's usually a lot already out there to read. If this is not the case (e.g. rare pairs or rare scenarios), then I'm happy to take a crack at it, though.

4) Signing up for smut exchanges is also a great way to get me to write for you. And if you want a list of upcoming smut exchanges, I am very happy to help. :)

Anyway, if you've read all of the above and have a prompt, feel free to leave it in a comment here. You may also be interested in replying to memes I post. Your comments can be anonymous.
