Freeform exchange signups are sooo time intensive. On occasion I'll see someone in the EAD Discord server say something like, "Oh, I threw my signup together in 15-20 minutes!", and I'm like... how??? This particular round of CIEX I managed to complete all aspects of signing up to my own satisfaction, including a letter with information for each requested ship, so this signup feels like my most successful freeform exchange signup to date, and I'm rather proud of that lol.
I'm so impressed with how much work you put into this Mirrorverse Quodo fic this last month! (And while still writing on other projects too!) I meant to reply to your WIP meme post to vote for this fic, but never got around to it, so it's cool to find out you worked on it anyway. I'm terrified of having to do major reconstruction of a fic already partially written (which I really need to get over, hopefully one day), so I'm really impressed with how much reworking you've done to get this story in place where you can keep moving forward with it.
I'm going to need to look up duck anatomy now. When I was writing the Quodo vore fic, I played with the idea of giving Quark a non-human digestive system. I researched a few different animals (including frogs, turtles, and armadillos), but ultimately decided to keep it simple and give him a standard human digestive system. I love when authors/artists give alien characters unusual anatomy, but it's such a pain to research and figure out, especially for writing fic. Hopefully the changes continue to work for you!
